th, 2022 Christina P is adding a new comedy special to Netflix's catalog. In her other show, Mom Genes, the comedian talks plainly about motherhood and the expectations that come with it. P Getting honest about being a mother - in a nutshell: Heaven and Hell - provide the audience with laughs as she describes experiences they would not expect to hear about. During the special, P discusses marriage, which should prove to be a fun section since she is married to another comedian, Tom Segura. How would it feel to experience motherhood with a comedian while being one yourself? Would it be disastrous? Would it be fun? The most recent Netflix comedy special featuring Segura (Ball Hog) premiered in 2020.
P short for Pazsitzky, was the host of Mother Inferior and The Degenerates on Netflix. The latter series featured Donnell Rawlins, Nikki Glaser, Ms. Pat, and others, all of whom were comedians who discussed comedy itself. P has also made it her business to openly discuss her motherhood and marriage: she co-hosts the podcast Your Mom's House with her husband and hosts Where My Moms At? Her second podcast features mothers sharing their experiences of raising children. Later this month, P is scheduled to participate in Netflix's comedy festival Netflix is a Joke, which will include an unbelievably large number of actors and comedians hosting shows, recording live shows, and providing music and table reads. The Amy Schumer & Friends section of the show will include P, Lil Rel Howery, Chris Distefano, Janelle James, Ron Funches, Rachel Feinstein, and Jaye McBride. It will be held at the Hollywood Palace and also features Lil Rel Howery, Chris Distefano, Rachel Feinstein, and Ron Funches, among others.
- Given P’s participation in the festival, Mom Genes is the perfect tie-in to the event, considering that the special is premiering, appropriately, on Mother’s Day, which is also the last day of Netflix is a Joke. So, fans of Christina P can get an extra dose of the comedian as soon as the event is over. Netflix premieres Mom Genes on May 8. A trailer for the stand-up comedy special is yet to be unveiled.
