Dog Gone: On A Trail To Look For Their Lost Dog, A Family Finds Pieces Of Themselves
When Fielding Marshall sees his ex-girlfriend roaming around the campus with her new boyfriend, he throws away his sandwich and asks his friend to come with him to an animal shelter. There, Fielding befriends an adorable labrador puppy and adopts him. He names it Gonker because the puppy "gonked" him the first time they met. I thought it was bonked, but never mind! Anyway, Fielding and Gonker soon become inseparable. They spend every waking second together, go away on treks and sleep under the stars. Fielding also misses his Graduation Ceremony which becomes a sore point in his relationship with his parents, John and Ginny. When they drove miles to see their son graduating and return disappointedly after realizing he didn't turn up for it, it could potentially damage any relationship honestly. Anyway, that becomes one of the reasons why John is upset with Fielding. Other reasons are how he has no job prospects on the horizon, how he spends all his time just playing with the dog, or how he never wakes up on time (oops! Sorry, no that was just my mom!). And this annoyance is usually projected to Gonkers too. But soon, Gonker warms his way into the whole Marshall family's hearts. Just when everyone seems to be settling into love-filled happy days, we find that Gonker suffers from Addison's disease, where he needs shots every 30 days, or his hormone insufficiency could be fatal. While on a trek with Fielding, Gonker loses his way and gets lost on the Appalachian Trail. After searching the entire trail, a distraught Fielding returns home to break the news to the rest of the family. With just 20 days remaining till Gonker needs the next shot, it is a race against time to find Gonker before something happens. Johnny Berchtold and Rob Lowe play son and father. Dog Gone is based on a true story as we find out in the end, a picture of the real Fielding and Gonker. Dog Gone is a sweet tale about cute furry angels and their humans. Their unbreakable bonds and the unconditional love that we share with our pets. Watch this adorable movie, which is also a movie version of a warm hug!
