Netflix Users Praise 'Brilliant' & 'Creepy' Serial Killer Series ‘The Chestnut Man’

The Chestnut Man, a new serial killer mystery series on Netflix, has been hailed as "brilliant" and "creepy". Streaming platforms in the U.S. and in the UK recently added the show to their catalogues. Written by Danish author Soren Sveistrup, who has translated it into 28 languages and made it available in 50 countries around the world. As the story opens in a "quiet suburb of Copenhagen", "the police discover a terrible discovery one blustery October morning": "It is described that the murder victim lies next to the small chestnut man in the series. Dalia Thulin (Danica Curcic) is the young detective and Mark Hess (Mikkel Boe Flsgaard) is the "aspiring young detective." The chestnut man is linked to a girl whose disappearance a year earlier was presumed to be a suicide. Her mother was politician Rosa Hartung (Iben Dorner)." Fans have been highly critical of the show. One said it was "just brilliant", adding: "If you enjoy good crime dramas, you'll enjoy this." Another described it as a "quirky and creepy thriller". Another person described it as a "surprising and satisfying Netflix gem that'll probably go unnoticed," and added: "If you're looking for a satisfying, dark, slow burn mystery full of twists and turns, then look no further.". It fits all of that perfectly!”
