Movie: After We Fell Released: October 2021, On Netflix Director: Castille Landon Cast: Josephine Langford, Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, Cartel Jenkins, Louise Lombard, Arielle Kebbel, Stephen Moyer The third installment of the After series was released on Netflix this week. The last movie left with the cliffhanger of Tessa's father ambushing the couple. Now Tessa and Hardin are facing the difficult decision of what to do after graduation. Tessa has been offered a job in Seattle which is her dream job but Hardin wants to move back to London after graduation. With arguments about the future putting a strain on their relationship, the rest of the movie deals with the couple struggling to meet halfway. Throw in some more shocking surprises, revelations about parental identities, we have After We Fell. The movie was adapted from a fanfiction turned book was written by Anna Todd. If you are a true and loyal Hessa fan you might have the willpower to endure through the whole movie. The whole story is shoddily written with twists and turns that do nothing to hook you in. This is merely a story of a couple that either needs to break up or find better ways to communicate with each other. The jealousy, the fights which have easy solutions all seem a little juvenile. And the steamy scenes seem so half-hearted, that it seems they were added just for the sake of it. Even the actors seem robotic with the story not giving them much to play with. After We Fell is disappointing after the huge success its predecessors enjoyed. But true fans and those who have read the books might enjoy this life-altering point in Hardin and Tessa's life. The family secrets causing upheaval in both their lives, the questions about the future that need to be answered soon....All of this makes up the rest of the story. In regards to watching it, you can skip it if angsty teenage dramas are not up to your alley. There are way better movies and series to watch this week! By SB
