Ivana is a divorce attorney. She is also divorced. Kind of absent-minded, beautiful, and losing her phone too often. One day Ivana loses her phone again. It falls in the hands of Ricardo. After exchanging messages and flirting, Ricardo and Ivana decide to meet each other. Waiting for Ricardo, Ivana is surprised to find that Ricardo is a couple of inches shorter than her. But charmed by his personality, they continue to see each other. Just Short Of Perfect is the latest romantic comedy on Netflix. It is a sweet love story about Ivana and Ricardo. Despite the rather shortening physical character Ivana and Ricardo hit it off. She learns that he is a cardiologist, a widow, and a single dad. But Ivana wants to stay away from marriage, going through an ugly battle of divorce. But she cannot resist Ricardo and his happy personality, and she finds herself spending more time with him. Even when ailing popes, stormy weather disrupt their time together they find ways to spend time with each other. Even though the happy couple is oblivious to the differences in their height, others see it as unworthy that Ivana would date Ricardo. She is told so, rather bluntly by her mother at a family party in front of Ricardo. Misunderstandings are created between them by Ivana's sour ex Danilo. But where popes, weather, mother, and husband dampened their relationship, father and teenage daughter play cupid for Ivana and Ricardo. Ricardo's daughter Manu teaches him to accept himself the way he is and giver Ivana another chance whereas Ivana's father says the same thing about Ricardo. Meeting during a wedding, clearing all misunderstandings, Ivana and Ricardo find love that is not short of perfect, but just perfect. This movie leaves you with the message of being enough just the way you are. In a society where arbitrary patriarchial beauty standards are reiterated every second, movies like this teach you to smash those standards and be brave enough to pursue what you truly desire.
