Netflix Won't Be Bringing Back Season 6 'The Seven Deadly Sins'

The Seven Deadly Sins fans who are interested in the franchise's future after the end of season 5, here is your opportunity to learn more. The anime series The Seven Deadly Sins has officially ended. The franchise, however, has a bright future, as we'll explain below. Based on Nakaba Suzuki's manga of the same name, Netflix Original series "The Seven Deadly Sins" is adapted. The series debuted on Netflix in late 2015 and quickly became a hit with subscribers, eventually becoming the streaming service's flagship anime. Due to the way Netflix formatted their anime library, we are listing this as the sixth season. The second season was a collection of OVAs.

  • Official Netflix Renewal Status

Ended (Last Updated: 13/10/2021)

Many fans find it tough to deal with the term "canceled," especially if one of their favorite shows is the one to go. The Seven Deadly Sins, however, was not subject to cancellation; the reason why it hasn't been renewed is simply because the manga's story, and source material, has been covered in the anime. It consists of 100 episodes covering all 41 volumes and 342 chapters of the manga. Simply put, the anime ended naturally and conclusively.

Will there be more movies in the near future?

The Seven Deadly Sins has been surprisingly slow to release new movies by the standards of other popular anime franchises. The show has produced only two films in its seven year history, Prisoners of the Sky (2019) and Cursed by Light (2021). In comparison with the likes of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, which released eleven movies between 2004 and 2015, The Seven Deadly Sins has only produced two films. Since we already saw a movie that goes beyond the Seven Deadly Sins, we shouldn't be surprised to see more films in the future, given the popularity of the series.

Is there a possibility of an anime spinoff?

Those that love Nakaba Suzuki's manga The Seven Deadly Sins will be excited to know that he has already begun work on the sequel, Four Knights of the Apocalypse. The manga has 35 published chapters as of the writing of this article. As of today, there are not enough manga chapters to render an anime, but Studio Deen may be able to begin production within a year.

Story of Four Knights of the Apocalypse

Percival, the son of the Camelot holy knight Ironside, is the leading character in Four Knights of the Apocalypse, who discovers he will become the Knight of Death of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse, a religious order prophesied by King Arthur Pendragon that will destroy the world. The story has done its best to stay away from mentioning the actions taken by The Seven Deadly Sins since the story concluded. It's safe to assume that, since Four Knights of the Apocalypse takes place 16 years after The Seven Deadly Sins, we'll finally see the children of Meliodas and Elizabeth, King and Diane, and Ban and Elaine.
