When the year is ending, and all we have to look forward to are extended pandemic, possible lockdowns, more viral threats, and overall gloom, Netflix goes ahead and releases Season 6 of Queer Eye! Guaranteed serotonin trip to escape the harsh reality, that is incessantly knocking on our doors. Johnathan Van Ness, Tan France, Antony Porowski, Bobby Berk, and Karamo Brown are traveling to Austin, Texas to make their lives a little better and beautiful. If you have been living under a rock, let me give you a little insight into everybody's favorite queers on the earth! Fab 5 as they are popularly known, consists of 5 fabulous people. Tan France helps out in the wardrobe department. Antony guides you in the kitchen, with food and wine and whatnot. Johnathan Van Ness, Jesus Christ himself (DISCLAIMER: No religious implication. I just mean he is that pure a soul! I mean look at that face! COME ON!!) is a hairstylist. Bobby Berk with those beautiful eyes is an interior designer and gives your house a worthy makeover. Beautiful man, Karamo Brown helps you with internal issues you are struggling with. Like a life coach you never knew you needed. All of them are absolute ANGELS. This season they are gracing the town of Austin. Starting the first episode with Terri. A 58-year-old grandmother teaches line dancing. She wants her grandson to move in with her because her house is closer to his job. But she needs to prove to her daughter, that even though she is eccentric, she is still capable of being a great grandmother. She gets nominated by the said mother. The Fab 5 helps her not just with her appearances and house, but also to build a stronger bond with her daughter. All 10 episodes are guaranteed tear fests. Running at 47 minutes and more, the Fab 5 are intent on spreading as much TLC as they can. From an Asian baker to a doctor, a farmer, and even helping host a prom night for those who lost the chance to have normal experiences during the pandemic. Running a little long, and sometimes even seeming a little jarring (after 5 seasons, JVN's sermons and Karamo's tearful sessions seem repetitive), this season might bore you at times. But it is still very much of a warm hug that the Fab 5 bestow upon everyone they meet. It is a worthy end to this year. By SB
