NETFLIX KICKS OFF THE END-OF-YEAR HOLIDAY SEASON WITH 20 NEW SHOWS AND MOVIES

December's new releases are the gift that keeps on giving during the holiday season. It's Christmas time! There is no doubt that a lot of people will be interested in what they are getting for Xmas and spending time with their loved ones that are visiting, but when you have some downtime, Netflix has you covered with a bunch of new movies and shows. Among the new things coming this week are a fantasy spinoff series, a musical, and a spy series.
After Ever Happy
It was filmed back-to-back with After We Fell, which means the entire cast will return to reprise their roles from the previous film. Tessa and Hardin have faced many challenges throughout their relationship, but each new challenge has only served to strengthen their relationship. Will they be torn apart or remain together when Hardin's inpenetrable façade is shaken by a revelation about his past and Tessa suffers a tragedy? Upon discovering the shocking truth about each of their families, it becomes apparent that the two lovers are not that different from one another. She is no longer the sweet, simple, good girl she was when she met Hardin, and he is no longer the cruel, moody boy she fell head over heels for. Hardin's underlying emotions are troubling to Tessa, and she knows that she is the only one who can soothe him when he becomes enraged. Her presence is needed to him. But the more layers of his past emerge, the darker he becomes, and the harder he pushes Tessa and all the others away from him. The fact that Tessa is not sure if she can save him without sacrificing herself makes her unsure if she can do so. Her determination won't let her go down without a fight. The question is, whose side is she fighting for--Hardin's or her own?
Daughter From Another Mother season 3
This is a Mexican comedy-drama television series created by Carolina Rivera and Fernando Sariana and starring Ludwika Paleta and Paulina Goto. It was the same year that the second season debuted. As The third season of Daughter From Another Mother will be the show's final season. The series revolves around the experiences of two women after giving birth in the same hospital, where they take the wrong baby home as a result of a nurse's negligence. However, when they discover the exchange, they choose to live together rather than simply get their daughters back. As season two came to an end, there were still many loose ends. There was a significant plot twist that ended the episode on a cliffhanger, making many people very intrigued. Apart from Ana keeping a distance from Mariana during the divorce proceedings, there is a new development between Ana and Mariana. In the end, the two women kiss, suggesting they might be romantically involved. The discovery that they are a couple may surprise some people, but it may also leave others devastated. However, the reality is a bit different, since the relationship was only a façade until the divorce was finalized. While Mariana's feelings for Ferrán change, Ana has to explore her sexuality and figure out her next steps.
Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical

Both children and adults will enjoy the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
Time Hustler
The Brazilian comedy series Time Hustler aka O Cangaceiro do Futuro was released on Netflix on 25th December. It is directed by Halder Gomes and Glauber Filho, with a screenplay by Chico Amorim, Paulo Leierer, Clara Deak, Lucas de Rosa, and Halder Gomes. Produced by Mayra Lucas and Carolina Alckmin, it is distributed by GLAZ Entertainment. The series will consist of seven episodes, which will run for approximately 40-50 minutes each. The series starts out with the introduction of Virguley, a good-for-nothing jester from the 21st century, who is transported to the 1920s after he receives a right-handed slap from one of the miscreants he encounters. As the protagonist wakes up in the past and finds himself in a mess, the story is full of absurd humor.
The Witcher: Blood Origin
It is a four-part prequel to the Netflix television series The Witcher. There will be a strong focus on ancient Elven society, tensions among races, and other issues arising from the Conjunction in The Witcher: Blood Origin. We'll also get to see how witchers, aka humans who have undergone rigorous training and magical experiments to become vicious monster hunters, got their start. In the show, we should find out who becomes the prototype witcher, in addition to Geralt and Vesemir. In Blood Origin, the events of The Witcher take place 1200 years before The Witcher itself. As the story of Blood Origin unfolds, we will discover what led to the creation of the first prototype Witcher, as well as the events that led to the " Conjunction of the Spheres," when men, monsters, and elves merged.
Vir Das: Landing
The Netflix stand-up comedy special 'Vir Das: Landing' features Indian comedian Vir Das. In total, the show lasts approximately 66 minutes and was written and directed by Vir Das. Aside from Vir Das, Akash Sharma, Kavi Shastri, Reg Tigerman, and Matthew Vaughan also produce the film. Vir Das speaks about his experiences as an Indian in the 93-second trailer. It is through humor that he explains some of the unspoken Indian rules that individuals of different countries and ethnicities may be unaware of. It is extraordinary how he is able to use dark humor in order to enhance a simple reference in such a humorous manner. Moreover, Das describes how his jokes have caused him trouble in the recent past, and how he has also fallen victim to “cancel culture.
No Escape
A thriller directed by John Erick Dowdle and co-written with his brother Drew Dowdle. It stars Owen Wilson, Lake Bell, and Pierce Brosnan, among others. American businessman Jack Dwyer (Owen Wilson), his wife Annie, and their two young daughters arrive in Southeast Asia to begin a new chapter of their lives. They quickly learn that they're right in the middle of a political uprising as they work to improve water quality in the region. Several armed rebels attack the hotel where they are staying, ordering them to kill any foreigners that come into contact with them. Jack must find a way to save himself and his loved ones from those at great risk from the violence that is erupting all around them in the midst of utter chaos.
Treason
Charlie Cox portrays Adam, the deputy head of MI6, in Netflix's new drama series Treason. This television series follows Adam Lawrence, played by Charlie Cox, who was groomed and trained by the M16 organization. Despite the fact that he seems to be doing well in his life, and that his career seems set up, a Russian spy from his past, Kara, who he shares a difficult history with, soon crashes into the present day in the form of him. After reassessing his life, Adam becomes involved in a deadly love-hate triangle with Kara and his wife Maddy, with each of them determined to destroy the other. While trying to keep their loved ones safe, they try to expose each other's secrets and navigate tricky political and diplomatic relations.
Chelsea Handler: Revolution

7 Women and a Murder
The Netflix OTT platform now offers a new film entitled 'Seven Women and a Murder' which stars Margherita Buy, Ornella Vanoni, and Micaela Ramazzotti in the lead roles. The story is set in Italy during the 1930s and follows a group of women who are involved in an inexplicable death, including a man's father and husband as well. The story revolves around a colorful group of women who, after spending Christmas Eve together in a villa, are forced to confront one another and reveal their secrets to one another at the end of the night. The fact of the matter is that all of them are suspects, so the question is, who will be the murderer and why will they do it?
A Night at the Kindergarten
Streaming on Netflix this week is a Polish comedy film titled Night at the Kindergarten. It was created by Marek Baranowski and Rafa Skalski, who previously worked together on the television series Glitter. A group of parents from the kindergarten meets on a regular basis to rehearse for a Christmas play that they organize for their children. As an unexpected twist in the story, Eryk, who is dating the mother of Tytus, a 5-year-old preschooler, shows up at the meeting, being the only childless participant at the meeting. Eryk discovers a secret plan of the charismatic Justyna during the rehearsal, which aims to convince most of the parents to expel Tytus from the Kindergarten in order to meet her aspirations. As a result of the naughty 5-year-old's behavior in the meeting, the council meeting becomes a "court trial". In the end, Eryk decides to defend the boy, who he does not like in the first place. After fighting for the kid out of selfish motives at first, he destroys the bizarre network of parental relations in the kindergarten and gets ready to become a parent for the first time. As seen through the lens of two stressed parents and one aspiring stepfather who accidentally steps into the middle of their parental struggle, A NIGHT IN THE KINDERGARTEN offers a snapshot of Poles in a nutshell.
The Circle season 5
On December 28, 2022, Netflix will premiere the fifth season of The Circle, an American reality competition series. The players shall move into the same apartment building as Michelle Buteau, who will serve as host. As each contestant lives in his or her own individual apartment, the contestants do not meet face-to-face during the course of the competition. Using a specially-designed social media app, they exclusively communicate using their profiles, allowing them to portray themselves as they see fit. Therefore, players may choose to present themselves as someone completely different from the others, a practice known as catfishing. A rating system is used throughout the series in which contestants rank one another from first to last. Upon completion of the ratings, their average ratings are revealed from lowest to highest. It is normal for the two highest-rated players to become "Influencers", while the remaining players are at risk of being "blocked" by them. Blocking may sometimes be twisted - for example, the lowest-rated players may be blocked instantly, the identity of Influencers may be secret, or multiple players may be blocked simultaneously. Players who have been blocked from playing are removed from the game but have the opportunity to meet one player who is still in the game. An anonymous video message is then shown to the remaining players the day after blocking to determine whether they are real or not. A final rating is conducted among the contestants, and the highest-rated player wins US$150,000 and the game. The Circle fans are also able to vote for their favorite player. US$10,000 is awarded to the player with the most votes as the Fan Favorite
Stuck with You
The movie Stuck with You (Happy Nous Year) has been directed by Frank Bellocq. Featuring Kev Adams and Camille Lellouche in the lead roles. Two strangers are en route to a party when they get stuck in an elevator on New Year's Eve - and find themselves connecting in ways they did not expect.
Brown and Friends
The film will be available on Netflix on the 29th of December. A group of fun-loving friends meets at a cozy little neighborhood coffee shop, and they get up to all kinds of adventures together. It is not uncommon for the big-hearted and expressionless BROWN to always be there for his friends. Everyone loves to hang out in the cozy coffee shop BROWN works in, where they all love to hang out. There's nothing like a nonverbal slapstick kids' comedy to make the whole family laugh, and this production features THE IPX LINE FRIENDS.
Rise of Empires: Ottoman, Season 2
Netflix will release Season 2 of Rise of Empires: Ottoman on December 29, 2022. In this series, Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II is depicted in relation to his campaign to take Constantinople. The story is filmed in Turkey with Turkish actors, but all dialogue is in English. With this series, Netflix merges a technique we have seen with the likes of The Last Czars in which some episodes are filmed as a documentary, with the remainder retelling the events in real-time.
Alpha Males
The release date is set for 30th December. A Spanish television series directed by Laura Caballero and Alberto Caballero is entitled Machos Alfa. A number of actors are featured in the film, including Fernando Gil, Mara Hervás, Ral Tejón, Kira Miró, and Gorka Otxoa. Approaches to the abolition of patriarchy are being taken. Amidst the full crisis of masculinity, the four forties are experiencing the loss of their throne, privileges, and identities. They would have been alpha males in charge of their relationships, their careers, and their lives years ago, but now they are living in a society with new rules that expose their patriarchal tendencies.
Chicago Party Aunt part 2
Part 2 of Chicago Party Aunt will premiere on December 30 and will consist of eight all-new episodes. The adult comedy follows Diane and Daniel as they navigate work, family, romance, and, most importantly, how to party their brains. It is based on Chris Witaske's popular Twitter account of the same name. The series depicts Diane Dunbrowski as the life and soul of her hometown since the 1980s, and she has no plans of stepping down anytime soon. With a heart of gold and a stubbornly loyal determination to her family and friends, she makes up for what she lacks in adulting skills. Although, it is evident that Diane must adapt to a rapidly changing world if she does not wish to become a relic of the past, like her beloved Spuds McKenzie poster. Daniel, her favorite (and only) nephew, deferring going to college and chooses to move to the city to live with his aunt. Her role is to act as Daniel's blue-collar fairy godmother, showing him a good time while guiding her through the often treacherous perils of modernity, which are shifting beneath her every day.

It is an upcoming South Korean streaming television series written by Kim Eun-sook and directed by Ahn Gil-ho. The ensemble cast includes Song Hye-Kyo, Lee Do-Hyun, Lim Ji-Yeon, Yeom Hye-ran, Park Sung-hoon, and Jung Sung-il. A Netflix release date has been set for December 30. There is a sad revenge story based on the dreams of a high school student who aspired to become an architect. In spite of this, she was forced to drop out of school due to brutal school violence. Several years later, the perpetrator marries and has a child. It is not long after the child is enrolled in elementary school that the former victim becomes his homeroom teacher and begins taking revenge on the perpetrators and bystanders who were responsible for her bullying.
The Ultimatum France season1
It is scheduled to premiere on December 30, 2022. In this international dating reality show, it is the turn of French couples to take the spotlight. A significant difference between "The Ultimatum" and many similar shows is the fact that it is not about introducing strangers with the hope of finding love. It focuses instead on six existing couples who are in long-term relationships but who still need to tie the knot. There is an ultimatum between them: either they get engaged or they break up. In order to make things even more dramatic, the couple will swap partners for three weeks before deciding whether or not to move forward. This will give them the opportunity to see how life would be without their longtime partner and whether they are ready to commit to each other.
White Noise
Based on the 1985 novel of the same name by Don DeLillo, White Noise is a 2022 absurdist comedy-drama film directed by Noah Baumbach. This is Baumbach's first feature film that does not originate from his own original story. Don Cheadle, Greta Gerwig, and Adam Driver star in the film. It is impossible for Don DeLillo to have imagined specifically how a story about a family unmoored by an airborne toxic event would have relevance to the COVID era. As long as our lives are marked by the presence of the Grim Reaper, the source material here reflects a greater sense of trauma and fear. During the first 90 minutes of Baumbach's adaptation of "White Noise," these complex themes are explored in a playful way, but in the final act, the writer/director seems to lose his grip on the material that is more serious. Nonetheless, there is more than enough to enjoy about this film when it comes to the unexpected combination of an author and filmmaker who is not necessarily thought to be compatible.
